A leaflet is produced each year by the Parish Newsletter team giving residents details of various groups and activities going on in and around Steep together with contact information. The leaflet is updated each year and included with the March edition of the Parish newsletter and can also be downloaded here (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this file.).
fly tipping
Fly Tipping
There has been an increase in fly tipping incidents in the Village recently.Please call 0300-300-0013 to report any incidents in your area. There is also a HCC produced leaflet here, containing tips for householders to ensure your waste is disposed of responsibly.
refuse collection
EHDC Refuse Collection
East Hampshire District Council provides our refuse collection service. The collections alternate every two weeks between recycleables and household refuse. EHDC provide a find your collection day link on their website.
Travel: Minibus
There is a minibus service between Steep and Petersfield. It runs once a day on Wednesdays and Fridays and you can find the timetable in the parish newsletter and details in the Welcome Leaflet above
train services
Travel: Trains
South Western Railway run direct services to London (1 hour and 5 minutes) and Portsmouth (32 minutes). Network Rail provide an online journey planner where you can find times and fares for any journey in the UK.

Parish Newsletter
A Parish Newsletter is produced ten times per year and is delivered free to all households in Steep and Stroud. More details together with the current and previous copies can be found on the Parish Newsletter page

Superfast/Rural Broadband
Hampshire County Council is rolling out superfast broadband across the region. To find out if you're included in the rollout you can use this postcode checker and register to be told when it's available in your area.
neighbourhood watch
Neighbourhood Watch
Both Steep and Steep Marsh used to have Neighbourhood Watch groups, but at present they are not operating. Residents are encouraged to sign up to Hampshire Alert a community messaging and information scheme. You can find advice on protecting your home and belongings here
eames almshouses steep
Steep Almshouses
There are six almshouses in Steep for use by local people who would otherwise not be able to have accommodation here. Full details can be found on their website here.

Steep has its own tree warden, Simon Hawkes. He can be contacted via the Parish Council clerk.
