Queens Jubilee Celebrations – Steep Common Saturday 4th June starting at 2.00 pm

We are planning to celebrate this great milestone in Steep’s usual way by having a big village party. There will of course be tea and cakes served all afternoon, children’s races and games. There will be a licensed bar run by The Cricketers Inn and a whole host of activities. Below is a rough programme of events. Entries for the dog show and the children’s races can be made on the day and there will be an entry fee of £1 per class .

Tea and cakes - served all afternoon

Dog Show – commencing approx 2.30 Entries on the day £1 per class

• Children's Best Friend - 12 and under
• Waggiest Tail
• Musical Sits
• Best Trick
• Platinum Oldies - dog over 10 years – 70 doggy years!
• Dog the Queen would most like to take home.

Children’s Races - commencing approx 3.30 - Entries on the day £1 per class 12 and under

Face Painting - all afternoon

Make your own floral Crown - materials provided, there will be a small charge for materials

Hobby Horse workshop - make your own hobby horse which you can race at the end of the children’s races – there will be a small charge for materials

Goalpost Challenge - hit the most footballs at the goalpost – prize at the end of the afternoon.

Licensed Bar - all afternoon run by The Criketers Inn

Floral Display in the Church ommemorating 70 glorious years. Do go and look at the wonderful displays in our lovely Church while you are here.

Tug-of-War - What village show doesn’t finish with one of these. Everyone must have a go....

Live Music - Hopefully – Are there any budding bands who would like to come and entertain us??
